Based on the realistic context of Inner Mongolia’s contemporary art, the exhibition “Under the Sky · Contemporary Art Scanning – Hohhot” is to collate and scan the current situation of contemporary art in Inner Mongolia, which presents their confidence and attitude toward future development, and has a universal cultural and geographic relevance.
Facing the tradition and wave of contemporary globalization, they are presenting the conflict and entanglement between regional difference and concrete reality, exploring an inner spirit which transcends the narrow boundaries of mediums and could be put into practice, and trying to achieve the recombination and construction in the reality. The 43 exhibitors, including native artists and artists associated with Inner Mongolia, provide fresh evidence of living and possibility of diversity, also represent the richness of current time and space.
