“Chinese Contemporary Art 1978-2008” was recently published and issued by Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House. In order to vividly and clearly present Chinese contemporary art, to make Chinese contemporary art history reach people’s horizons, the author has changed the traditional way to write art history to boldly use a new written method with the “integration of texts and images”. Born in Lichuan County, Jiangxi Province in 1954, Lu Hong is a critic and curator. He graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts and specializes in Chinese painting and art theory. Currently he is the art director of Shenzhen Art Museum, judge of the Literature and Art Fund of the Shenzhen Municipal Department of Propaganda, Adjunct Professor, Master Instructor of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, vice president of Shenzhen Artists Association. He has been devoted to the research of Chinese contemporary art, as well as planning and promoting exhibitions.
